Chief Judge Michael Forte has announced that the Court is, once again, in the process of expanding the number mediators employed by the Court. The actual Civil Service Title for the Court's staff Mediators is "Lawyer" or "Attorney" with a sub-classification of Mediator. The Court used its normal notification process and the application period has closed. Staff is at work reviewing the applications received. Staff Mediators are variously assigned to help resolve cases involving divorce, parenting, alienation, post-divorce, never-married couples, or miscellaneous cases.

The Court's hope is that the increased emphasis on mediation will prove less costly and time-consuming for litigants and the court.
